Offline delivery of the first magnetic levitation generator system applied to supercritical CO₂ power generation in China

Baobang Electric has developed a 300kW magnetic levitation generator system for a certain university in China, which is the first one to be applied in the field of supercritical CO ₂ cycle power generation. The system was recently delivered offline. The performance and parameters of the generator are comprehensively superior to the design requirements, and the product technology level has reached the leading level in China.

The supercritical CO ₂ cycle power generation system follows the Brayton cycle, which operates above the critical temperature of CO ₂ and has good transferability and fast moving ability. Its density is close to that of liquids, and high density can increase the pressure of the fluid. The supercritical cycle utilizes the physical properties of CO ₂ near the critical point to reduce compression work and improve heat recovery efficiency. It has good thermal efficiency, compact power system equipment, and low economic investment, It has a broad application background in power generation fields such as thermal power, nuclear power, and gas energy, and is considered one of the main development directions for future power generation.

The generator system developed by Baobang Electric includes a 300kW magnetic levitation high-speed generator, magnetic levitation bearing controller, motor water cooling system, converter, etc. The motor power is 320kW, the maximum speed is 33000r/min, the efficiency is 97%, and the overload capacity can reach 150%. It has good power generation efficiency and overload capacity.
