The first 150kW maglev helium compressor in China has passed acceptance

Recently, Suzhou Baobang Electric Co., Ltd. collaborated with a research institute to develop the first domestic set of 150kW magnetic levitation helium compressor for the fuel loading and unloading system of high-temperature gas-cooled reactors. The overall technical indicators have reached the international advanced level through testing.
Helium compressor is a fundamental supporting equipment for cutting-edge technology research, which is a mechanical device that increases helium pressure by reducing the volume of helium. Widely used in fuel handling systems, helium purification systems, and transport absorption spheres, it also has wide applications in fields such as astronomy, medicine, and aerospace.
The 150kW magnetic levitation helium compressor developed by Baobang Electric has passed the test, which is a significant achievement of the company in the field of ultra-low temperature refrigeration core equipment. It marks significant progress in the application of magnetic levitation high-speed motors in the field of nuclear energy and provides strong support for the development of China's energy industry. The helium compressor of this project adopts centrifugal impellers, and the rotor is supported by electromagnetic bearings. The motor power is 150kW, the voltage is 380V, the speed is up to 30000r/min, and the airtight pressure of the motor shell reaches 12MPa, which has high technical difficulty.
