After releasing the 360 kW 8kg last year, Palboom released the 250 kW magnetic levitation air compressor in April of this year. It is being used in the Shanxi Wangzhuang coal mine, which is more than 1,000 meters above sea level. The compressor has now passed its three-month operation assessment. It is used to deliver pure and oil-free compressed air to the underground. The 360 kW model has been running in a large state-owned enterprise for one year. The customer was impressed by the stability and energy savings.
The site of the original three 200 kW (two with a backup) screw air compressor was replaced by a Palboom FARHILLS "Far Hills" series magnetic levitation air compressor. This compressor has a rated power of 250 kW, a pressure of 800 kPa, and a speed of up to 45,000 r/min. The test shows that a magnetic levitation air compressor can completely replace two sets of screw air compressors and intermittent proportional valve venting. The test shows that one magnetic levitation air compressor can completely replace two screw air compressors. It also shows that proportional valve venting is required. According to the on-site equipment, which automatically records how long it takes to load and how much power is used, the new compressor saves more than 25% energy compared to the old on-site screw air compressor.
Through careful design, this model challenges the traditional dominant market area of screw compressors, and comparatively verifies that the magnetic levitation air compressor still shows obvious advantages in the smaller exhaust volume.
The pure compressed air delivered to the underground, in addition to driving the safe operation of pneumatic tools and equipment, is the lifeline that maintains production and safety, due to the presence of gas, coal dust and other flammable and explosive substances, pure air is particularly precious.
